I’m sorry, but while Bush was no great speaker, this goes to prove that Obama has his moments as well. Not only is his indended point wrong, but he makes it rather poorly!

I have to disagree, his plan to completely ruin this country is going rather well. Nancy on the other hand, what a dumb b!tch.
Indeed, sad isn’t it? Did you see today that the “big O” is going to let a few billion dollars worth of earmarks make it through this new budget after all the campaign promises about stopping such things? Let’s face it, most politicians like to pretend to have all the answers, but most are clueless about how macro economics even works.

I never dreamed I’d live to see the day my country would fold like a tv tray. Obama’s been in for like 20 minutes and he’s managed to butcher the few tatters of the Constitution remaining in this society – with appointees that would make Satan himself grin like a possum eating briars. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Teresa,
Now there’s a simile I’ve never heard….”Satan himself grin like a possum eating briars”. LOL!
You are exactly right. Less than 100 days into the administration, we’re already witnessing a man who blamed Bush for everything under the sun continue the very same economic policy regarding bailouts of failed corporations, and make it worse by adding billions of spending on top of it. Hey, if overspending and debt got us into this mess, by God it will get us out!
I hope somehow the reaction of the stock market to these policies the last 5 days will be a hint to those in DC that those responsible for making this country great, it’s enterprising and risk taking entrepreneurs, will simply continue to take their wealth and experience overseas so long as their own government declares loudly that it wants to work against them and for a priveleged few.
Funny afterthought…the priveleged few are a cohort of welfare recipients and failed business tycoons.

Haha…I just heard a news report that global warning is on hold for the next 20 to 30 years. Scientists can’t seem to pinpoint why but the world is actually cooling since, ummm, around 1989 and seemingly will be for the next couple decades but not to worry… that WILL be followed by an aggressive heat index. After a 25 year cold spell, I’ll be ready for a heat wave.
Maybe it’s because their satellites lost a couple hundred miles of glaciers a few weeks ago. Hmmm…guess that’s where all the missing polar bears were. For real. Reality bites, dude. heheh. Looking forward to more Global Warming Rallies during blizzards.
Personally, I support global warming. I hate the cold and the warm weather will be great for global food production as we continue to explode the population.
Anyway, ya, I think this was the second time a global warming rally has been cancelled due to a snow storm. I LOVE the irony there.
Of course, they are all calling it “Global Climate Change” now instead of the specific “warming” so that even if we are cooling, which we are, they can still claim “climate change!”
And what arrogance, ya know? 50 years of studying a subject vs the millions of years our planet has been here and they think they can spot long term trends. It’s like studying the DOW for a week and thinking you can predict next year’s stock market.
People are silly.

Can somebody please remind this idiot Obama that top 5% of income earners in this country pay 50% of the taxes already and he needs to stop trying to screw them over more by jacking up their tax brackets again and trying to say “it’s fair”. That’s crap, everybody should be paying a set % of their earnings and not different. If you’re making ten times more than somebody, then you should pay ten times more in taxes, not 30 or 40 times more like this idiot is trying to do.
Hey Jack,
Amen to that.
Are you familiar with the FairTax at all? It’s pretty much my pet issue. Check out fairtax.org for all the details, but in a nutshell…
It’s a bill in front of Congress (HR25) that eliminates the personal and corporate income tax, as well as estate taxes, capital gains and dividends taxes, payroll taxes, etc. No more 60,000 pages worth of tax code no one understands that cater to special interest groups who can afford a loophole.
It replaces it all with a 23% inclusive sales tax on the purchase of NEW goods and services… so if you buy a $100 widget, the company you bought from will send in $23.
The more you spend, the more tax you pay, and it completely eliminates the disincentive for work and savings.
I could write pages on this, but check it out and feel free to ask me any questions you have. Cheers.

Our government is absolutely deaf and dumb to the Fair Tax and I’m clueless as to why. It’s definitely time to overhaul such a draconian system with far too many loopholes and freeloader protections. I’m a second-hand purchaser (Craigslist, Goodwill) so I especially like the Fair Tax.
I’m not getting a real good feeling that our new President is going to create massive incentive for people to work, what with his new Great Society programs and trillion dollar bailouts.
Tereasa,
Glad to see another FairTax supporter! We’ve actually got a bill coming up in SC to create a state version of the FairTax for us. We’ve got a huge rally planned on April 15 in Columbia with Huckabee and (I think) Boortz coming down to kickoff the legislation. I think the federal government is doomed. It’s time we really focus on state government and inject some actual leaders into the system who can use the state’s Constitutional power against the onslaught of Federal intrusion. A state legislative primary can be turned with 100 votes. We really do have some power if we take it.

You must remember guys if he is wanting us to take a fall it wont matter to him how much we hate him. You can almost taste the irony of a nation craving change so blindly even when there were signs that he is corrupted. now we have no choice to suffer for the ignorance of thousands of voters for years to come.
Chad,
Oh so many signs pointing to his corruption. The multitude of hard core racists and even terrorists he was buddies with was frightening. People didn’t care. The GOP had failed so miserably that people just needed something different. A slick talker with an infomercial sales pitch ruled the day. I just wish I had my 30 day money back guarantee!
I see a lot of energy on the conservative side coming back to life. Hopefully 2010 will go well electionwise. We need a buffer between our president and our freedoms.
