Thank You Iowa!!

This is so simply amazing I am at a loss for words!!  The results from the Iowa Straw Poll are in and the results are positive!!

1. Gov. Mitt Romney with 4516 votes and 31%
2. Gov. Mike Huckabee with 2587 votes and 18.1%
3. Sen. Sam Brownback with 2192 votes and 15.3%
4. Tom Tancredo with 1961 votes, 13.7%.

Now of course, we would expect Gov. Romney to walk away with the victory.  If you spent millions of dollars and bussed in people from across the state, one would be embarrassed to have not come in first.  But now, we have a candidate finishing second, who spent little if anything compared to the rest of the competitors, and still managed to come in second based solely on his message!  No buses needed.  No bought and paid for votes needed.  Mike Huckabee did it based upon his ability as a candidate and the strength of his message.

This gives me faith in America!  I can't wait to see the press tomorrow during the "Sunday Shows".   America can't ignore this!

Governor Huckabee, welcome to the top tier!

The campaign spent less than $150,000 on this straw poll. Brownback spent closer to half a million and Romney spent a couple of million. I’m at a loss for words, also … all I keep thinking is ‘This is HUGE’.

I echo your sentiments, Christian. THANK YOU IOWA!
I am so thrilled about the outcome of the Straw Poll, if Governor Huckabee can produce these results with little money, can you imagine what is going to happen when he starts getting big donations. There is no stopping Governor Huckabee!

You’re right Jeremy, it is huge! This has to be the bump we’ve needed. No one can ignore Mike now. To have accomplished what Team Huckabee did just has to give the other candidates pause to think about their fututes! If you outspend the guy and still lose, I mean, how demoralizing. Yes Lisa! Just imagine!
Of course, one thing that does concern me a little was the lack of turnout. Not a lot of votes were cast. Republicans have got to wake up and get excited or the next eight years will be pure Socialism, instead of just Bush’s leftward leanings.
